PARENTS OF THE GROOM
Joe’s parents, David and Linda Lock, have been happily married for an impressive 48 years—proof that true love, patience, and possibly selective hearing can stand the test
of time. They spent most of their lives in Kansas City, MO, but recently traded in Midwest winters for Florida sunshine, year-round golf, and their most important new
role: becoming grandparents to little Elias Lock.
Joe has a close relationship with his parents, though it wasn’t exactly a smooth ride from the start. Let’s just say his late teens and early twenties involved some “character- building” moments that kept David and Linda on their toes. But through all the ups and downs (and probably a few gray hairs), their bond only grew stronger, proving that unconditional love is a real thing—even when questionable life choices are involved.

Sports played a huge role in Joe’s life, and David was right there for all of it—coaching, cheering, and making sure Joe had the competitive edge he still carries today. Meanwhile, Linda, the lone woman in a house full of guys, formed a special connection with Joe, shaping him into the strong, independent, and (occasionally) responsible man
he has become.
Some of their best memories together have been visiting Denver and the mountains, including fan favorite at Red Rocks where Linda showed everyone how to properly party (photo evidence available above).
David and Linda have been the biggest influences in Joe’s life, instilling in him the values of love, family, and finally—finally—settling down with the love of his life, Sarah. As Linda would say, “What took you so long!”
